Summer is here, let’s have a picnic!

Just saw a commercial for a new product. Well, actually it isn’t a new product but rather an improvement on a product that makes a lot of sense.

Picture this and see if you can imagine the scene. You just put the burgers and hot dogs on the BBQ, how hungry is everyone, you ask. I’ll have a burger; make me two; Hey can I have a smokie? So, you decide, it’s better to be looking at the food, than to be looking for the food; you throw everything on the grill. Over the next 10-15 minutes as you are cooking, everyone is snacking on all the vegtables, dip and chips that you have prepared. So now, it’s time to get the food off the grill. You grab a fresh disposable plate and start piling on the food. As people grab their burger, hot dog, smokie, you are left with a few items left over. So to keep the flys away, you turn over another plate and put it on top of the other plate. You then throw a piece of foil or plastic wrap around the two plates and put them in the cooler or fridge for later enjoyment.

Well, this new product is a plastic disposable plate that has an interlocking pattern on the rim of each plate. As you but one plate upside down over the other, the two plates can be pressed or snapped together to seal the plates into one. There is no mess, no slippage, no foil, no plastic wrap, and best of all, the product is microwave safe and can go directly into the microwave for heating.

We have all experienced the above situation; but how did someone come up with the idea to interlock the plates, how did they know whether there was a market for their idea? If you were to look at our easy step by step process, you would know.

Don’t be saying, “I should have thought of that!” You did, you just didn’t know how to identify the need, capture the idea, and move the idea into action. Take action now, don’t let the next BIG IDEA pass you by!

Thank you for coming by my site. As a consultant and business person; for the last 20 plus years I have been responsibile for solving problems and creating innovative solutions to business problems.

Over the years I have searched, studied and refined the concepts, techniques and tools to generate ideas on demand.

As a result I regularly see some very innovative products that most people would only say “That’s a cool idea!” or “That’s a neat product!” But because I have studied and researched the process of creating ideas, it’s a much more exciting observation. Follow along as we look at how the world has changed one idea at a time.

Welcome
